River Rapids X39/X40

Buses towards Reading will follow a revised route with the current morning peak diversion via Priest Hill and Caversham Library becoming the normal route all day, every day. From Caversham Bridge buses will operate to Reading town centre via Vastern Road, Forbury Road, Blagrave Street and Friar Street to Station Road. (Bus stops at Caversham Road Fire Station and Friar Street stop FF will no longer be served). The revised route is designed to avoid congestion on St Peter’s Hill and make use of the bus lanes on Vastern Road. This will give passengers a more consistent reliable journey time.
