    From Sunday 27th January, the cost of some of your bus services will be changing.

We’re freezing the majority of Smartzone fares for a third consecutive year and continue our mission to deliver great service at an affordable price for our passengers. We want to ensure bus travel continues to be the most cost-effective way to travel in Oxfordshire and we believe these changes continue to offer that. For example, fares for Oxford SmartZone weekly tickets, popular 'any 5-day' and '12-trip' bundles have been frozen for 2019.

From 27th January 2019, there will be inflationary increases in the costs of some of your services, as shown below:

How are your services funded?

  • Where does every £1 go?

    Every £1 earned by the Company goes to: 55p = staff, 20p = payments to suppliers (including fuel), 10p = capital investment, 6p = NI and corporation tax, 5p = reserves - future investments, shareholder returns and pension and 4p = fuel duty.

    Your services are funded by the following: 80% passenger fares, 10% commercial contracts, advertising, rail replacement and private hire, 9% concessionary fare reimbursement, and 1% council tendered services.
