Key benefits of the new network include:
- X2 was enhanced to operate up to every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sunday, between Oxford, Abingdon and Didcot.
- X2 was extended to serve Oxford railway station.
- More journeys operate on the 41 on Fridays.
Changes to the routes serving Abingdon are as follows:
X2 - The route was enhanced to provide customers with frequency of up to every 20 minutes between Oxford, Abingdon and Didcot on Monday to Saturday daytimes. Evening and Sunday services were enhanced to operate up to every 30 minutes. In Oxford, buses operate to and from the railway station providing new direct connections. The X2 is co-ordinated with Oxford Bus Company route cityX3 to provide a bus up to every 10 minutes between Abingdon and Oxford.
The section of the X2 route between Didcot and Wallingford is now replaced with a revised 33 service (see below).
33 - The route was revised with the section of the route between Didcot Orchard Centre and Wantage being replaced by an enhanced X32 service. From Didcot Orchard Centre, the 33 replaces the existing X2 service to Wallingford (not serving Didcot Tesco). Buses operate up to every hour between Abingdon and Wallingford with additional buses operating between Didcot Parkway and Wallingford to provide a bus up to every 30 minutes over this section of the route. In Sutton Courtenay, buses no longer operate along Bradstocks Way and Harwell Road. Passengers that used stops on these roads are advised to use the stops on Milton Road or High Street as an alternative.
41 - Slight amendments were made to the timetable with journeys that currently only operate on Mondays to Thursdays also operating on Fridays.
45 - Slight amendments were made to the timetable to improve the reliability of the service. In Berinsfield, buses operate an anticlockwise loop.
