Key benefits of the new network will include:
- X32 will be enhanced to operate up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday. In Oxford, buses will continue to operate beyond the town centre to Headington, John Radcliffe Hospital to provide new direct connections.
- New fast X36 service linking Wantage, Grove and East Hanney with Milton Park and Didcot will be introduced and it will operate up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday.
- 38 will be enhanced on Monday to Friday to operate up to every 30 minutes.
Changes to the routes serving Wantage and Grove are as follows:
X32 - Route will be enhanced to operate up to every 30 minutes between Wantage and Oxford via Didcot Monday to Saturday daytime. Only a limited number of journeys will serve Chilton with additional journeys between Chilton and Didcot provided by a revised 94 service. In Oxford, buses will continue to operate beyond the city centre to the John Radcliffe Hospital via Brookes University.
X36 - New route will be introduced, serving the Crab Hill and Grove Airfield developments. The service will provide new faster links between Wantage, Grove, and East Hanney with Milton Park and Didcot up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday.
33/X33 - The 33 service will no longer serve Wantage with the section of the route between Didcot Orchard Centre and Wantage being replaced by the enhanced X32 service (see above).
38 - The Monday to Friday service will be enhanced to operate up to every 30 minutes. The Saturday service will be withdrawn due to low customer usage. Alternative journeys between Wantage and Grove will be provided by the new X36 service (see above).
67/67C - Amendments will be made to the timetables. Buses will no longer continue to travel beyond Wantage towards Didcot as services X32/X33/33, but connections will be maintained with the new X32 service wherever possible.
