UPDATE: Following the reopening of schools, from Monday 8th March 2021, we will be reintroducing all Didcot BB routes (i.e. BB1/BB1A, BB2, BB4 and BB5) and the 96 service.

IMPORTANT: Following the re-introduction of the national lockdown from 5th January 2021, and thus very limited numbers using the services, it has been agreed in discussion with Didcot Girls' School and St Birinus School to suspend all Didcot BB routes (i.e. BB1/BB1A, BB2, BB4 and BB5) and the 96 service from 11th January. The suspension will last until 7th March.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to the few pupils who have used these services to travel to attend the hub provision at these schools. Please note that termly or annual season tickets can still be used on other services within the normal area of validity. For example, pupils wishing to attend Didcot schools from the following locations may use the services below:

  • Abingdon, Drayton: X2
  • Steventon: X2 or X36
  • Harwell: X32 or 98
  • Wantage: X32
  • Wallingford: 33

In response to government guidance regarding returning to school in September 2020 and COVID-19 safety, we made some changes to our school services for the 2020/21 academic year. These services are now dedicated "home to school" buses and are not open to the general public until further notice. This means that we are not able to offer ticket sales on-board for occasional travellers, and all customers travelling on these services must be in possession of a valid term or annual pass for the service they wish to use, or a special South Oxfordshire zone pass that includes Blue Bus service to Didcot School.

Please note that holders of a regular South Oxfordshire zone pass are not allowed to travel on the school services.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and as government guidance is updated, we will review whether these changes need to remain in place.
