From Monday 16th April 2018, changes will be made to your 94/94A service.
The current school day only journey from Didcot at 11:11 will be withdrawn as this journey is only very lightly used. We will be however introducing a new additional morning peak journey from West Hagbourne to Didcot, arriving at Parkway Station at 07:37, in time for the 07:47 train to London.
The school day only service 94A will be re-numbered 94S. In the morning, the 94S will start at North Moreton and operate via South Moreton, Aston Tirrold, West Hagbourne, Upton, Blewbury and East Hagbourne to Didcot. This revised route will allow for people living in Blewbury and East Hagbourne to use the service to get to Didcot town centre for around 08:20. The route provides a quicker journey to school (compared to the current morning 94A service) for pupils living in West Hagbourne, Upton and Blewbury. Pupils living in The Moretons and Aston Tirrold will unfortunately have a slightly longer journey to school as a result. The afternoon journeys on the 94S will remain the same as the current afternoon 94A journeys.
In the evening, we will be introducing a new 94C route variant. This will follow the daytime 94 route to East Hagbourne and will then operate as a clockwise loop via Blewbury, Upton, West Hagbourne, back to East Hagbourne and then normal route back to Didcot. The advantage of operating this clockwise loop is that buses from Didcot will be able to reach Blewbury ten minutes quicker than before.
Also from Monday 16th April there will be new “BB” services for Didcot.
BB5 and BB7
From Monday 16th April 2018, we will also be introducing brand new BB5 and BB7 services.
Service BB5 will operate in the morning from Chilton via the main road past the Harwell UKAEA site to Rowstock Corner. Buses will then operate via Harwell village and follow the current BB4 route to Didcot Girls’ School and St Birinus School.
Service BB7 will operate in the afternoon and will cater for most pupils from the morning BB5. In addition, the BB7 will also serve Milton Village and will operate from Didcot schools to Chilton via Hagbourne Hill before continuing via the main road past Harwell Campus to Rowstock Corner and then via Milton Interchange to Milton Village. In the morning, pupils from Milton village will still be able to use the 32A service.
